Confirm access arrangements, protection of floors and landscaping, equipment removal, and how changes to the original scope will be approved.
Know what completion looks like
Installation is not finished just because the system turns on. Ask what startup measurements and checks will be recorded. Have the contractor demonstrate thermostat operation and explain filter access, maintenance requirements, and warranty registration. Keep the model numbers, invoice, startup documentation, and permit records together. If an inspection or follow-up remains outstanding, ask for a written next step before treating the project as closed.
